VISIT TO THE OLD AGE HOME

On May 3rd, 2019, Kulachi Interact club visited the St. Mary's old age home. As the interactors entered the premises, we were led to a beautiful old victorian style building by the coordinator of the old age home. There, the coordinator told us about the history of this place and how it's connected to colonial British times. We were then led to the rooms of the old ladies residing there and greeted them.

They were extremely wise and told us about their lives and spiritual tales. Seeing them made us realize how important it is to appreciate and respect our elders. Our presence made them feel delighted and we sang and performed for them which brought smiles to their faces.

We took along cooks from our canteen who prepared a delicious brunch which was enjoyed by all of us.

In the end, members from our club gave the old ladies gift baskets. It was a memorable experience and sensitized us towards our elders.
