Blood Donation Camp
24th November, 2018

On Saturday, 24th November, 2018, Kulachi Interact Club held a blood donation camp. Qualified doctors from Rotary Club came to help us make this attempt a success. Mr. Rajeev Taneja, coordinator from our parent  Rotary Club of Delhi Garden City , came to our school to overlook and manage this drive. Donors who came also got facilities to get their blood pressure, haemoglobin, blood sugar, and body mass index checked. Official reports would be sent to them over email. This was an extremely prestigious event that our club undertakes every year and this time as well, it was a success. We obtained 54 units of blood in total, which can save at least 150 lives! Our club held a rally two days before to spread awareness about the same and due to this many people came to donate blood. The doctors talked about health benefits of giving blood- fresh blood would be formed within 24 hours, which reduces risk of heart disease and cholesterol and reduces harmful iron content. Many donors felt the satisfaction of saving lives after donating blood. Mr. Gaurav Ahuja also made an appearance, encouraged us, and congratulated us for  showing such efforts. All interactors also felt accomplished at the end of the day. We want to thank our teacher coordinates and Mr. Rajeev Taneja to help organise this event.

Awareness for Blood Donation Camp

On Thursday, 22nd November, Kulachi Interact Club held a rally to make residents of Ashok Vihar aware of the blood donation camp that took place on the following Saturday. Every member of the club participated in this march with full enthusiasm and energy. Our club hit all major areas in Ashok Vihar and spread the word. This was also a great opportunity for us to showcase how essential it was to donate blood, as one donation can save three lives! Due to this rally, a mass awareness was created and many residents came to our school to donate.
