Blood Donation Campaign
7th December, 2019

"एक बूंद बचाए चार जान" With this in their minds, the interact club of Kulachi Hansraj Model School once again hosted a Blood Donation Camp at their school where you could not only donate blood but also sign up for organ donation. The turnout this year was excellent with 67 people present at the camp on 7th December, 2019.

36 pints of blood were collected and 8 registrations for organ donations were taken. Participants got their BMI, haemoglobin, eyesight, blood pressure and blood sugar levels checked as well.
Interactors made sure everything happened efficiently and that all of the donors felt comfortable, they also helped the professionals in miniscule ways by putting on band aids and giving out snacks to the donors post-donation.

Donors were provided with both a certificate and a medal to honour their donations and encourage them to keep donating every year.

Our own staff, alumni and students' parents were some of the donors. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who showed up and hope to see even more of you here next year.

Visit to New Asha Special Home

23rd October, 2019

Interactors from Kulachi Hansraj Model School, along with two teacher in-charges, visited New Asha Special Home in Palam Village, Dwarka on 23rd October, 2019. The visit proved to be a great motivational lesson to all the Interactors. They realised there is always a way and that one can excel despite of disabilities one is born with.

The special school had around 6 rooms where children with different needs were educated and vocationally trained. All Interactors distributed the gifts that they had collected- books, stationery items, sweets and chocolates to the special children. As Diwali was round the corner, the children had made beautiful candles and diyas and had exhibited the best of their creativity. The visit made them feel visibly happy and joyful. The event turned out to be a huge inspiration for everyone and gave us a memory that we'll cherish forever.
